LUSSAN
Labelled village "Most beautiful village of France".
Perched on a rocky peak, facing Mont Ventoux, the village of Lussan offers the attraction of a medieval city surrounded by ramparts on a plateau overlooking the scrubland and plain.
Things to be seen : The castle (town hall), the castle of Fan, the temple, the Fontasse, the walkway with its 360 ° view, the natural site of the Concluses, the ceramics of Lussan ...
Uzès
Uzès is a town full of historical and architectural interest ; with its roads and squares of shops, its Duchy, the Renaissance private homes, the cathedral, mediaeval lanes and the beauty of the fountains. is a welcoming and quiet village, typical of the Gard region, with wineries, beautiful regional stone buildings, sitting amongst the vines and in a terrain known as « the Garrigue ».
Things to be seen : the main square « Place aux Herbes », the Duchy, Saint-Théodorit cathedral, the source of the Eure river, the large Saturday market and the farmers' market on Wednesday, Haribo Sweet Museum.
Nîmes
Step back in time and discover Nîmes with its 2000 years of history. The city is rich in Roman monuments and endowed with an exceptional ancient heritage: Nîmes amphitheatre (arena) is the best preserved in the Roman world. Restored and embellished in recent years, the city centre is full of treasures such as the Maison Carré and the Magne tower.
Things to be seen : the arena (above), the Maison Carrée (on the right), the temple of Diana, the Magne tower (on the left), the castellum (the final point of aquaduct water), the Roman museum, the gardens « Les jardins de la Fontaine ».
Anduze
Whether it is for the richness of its heritage, the beauty of its landscape, its tourist sites, or its hiking trails, Anduze, a picturesque little town on the doorstep of the Cevennes, seduced by its authenticity!
Things to be seen : La Bambouseraie, Steam train Cevennes, pottery workshops, Gorges du Gardon.
Avignon & villeneuve-lès-Avignon
Avignon, the capital of Christendom in the Middle Ages, houses two grand monuments from this era. Discover the charm of the celebrated Pont Saint-Bénezet (from the song « Sur Le Pont D’Avignon ») and the richness of the Palace of the Popes (Palais des Papes) ; both of these are classed as UNESCO World Heritage sites.
Opposite the papal city, on the other side of the river Rhone, Villeneuve-lès-Avignon also offers a sublime medieval heritage and a calm retreat from the busy and bustling Avignon in july.
Suggested visits in Avignon: the Palais des Papes (noted above), the Saint-Bénezet bridge, Avignon’s famous theatre festival in July (photo below on the left), and the many free museums.

THE RIVERS: SWIMMING AND CANOE
The classified site of the Sautadet waterfalls extends along the Cèze at La Roque sur Cèze. Swimming is dangerous, but you can swim safely downstream of the site. Other less famous sites, along the Cèze, Gardon or Ardèche invite to swimming and other water activities such as canoeing.

Hiking: The Gorges du Gardon, the scrublands, the Concluses de Lussan, the Eure valley in Uzès, the capitelles of Blauzac: the surroundings of Lussan offer a multitude of trails and sites to discover.
Mountain biking: With 12 marked trails, many equipment rental companies, adapted to the bike can be found in the Uzège!
Horse riding: Many equestrian centers around Uzès including the National Stud of Uzès which proposes a program of activities and visits during summer .
